Here is a list of excursions one can have while in the resort of Pamporovo: a half day excursion to the town of Smolyan (viewing of the marvelous sight of the Rhodopi Mountains’ slopes, visiting the biggest Planetarium on the Balkans and sightseeing in the town); Chudnite mostove (the Wonderful Bridges) (first stop of the excursion – the town of Chepelare, a visit to the only cave museum on the Balkans, second stop – the Wonderful Bridges - unique national rock formations; then, there is a short excursion in the mountain to introduce the tourists to the flora and fauna in the Rhodopi Mountain); an excursion to the town of Plovdiv (the second biggest town in Bulgaria, which is a big industrial, administrative and cultural centre) and visit to Backovo Monastery; a visit to Yagodinska Cave (1100 m long, situated on two levels and holding many unique rock formations as stalactites, stalagmites and others) and Dyavolsko Garlo Cave (Devil’s Throat Cave - a giant waterfalls gallery); excursion to Smolyan and Uhlovitsa Cave (a cave which resembles a small underground castle. The tourists may see stone flowers, stalagmites, stalactites and other rock formations).

Tourists who enjoy hiking in the mountain have a variety of tourist routes to choose from. Tourist route number 1 – to the Mount of Chala; Tourist route number 2 – to the monument of the hero Momchil; Tourist route number 3 – to Rozhen meadows; Tourist route number 4 – to Studenets chalet, Slanchev bair and Malina locality; Tourist route number 5 - Studenets chalet, Yazovika, Orpheus rocks locality and Snezhanka Mount and others.

There are four different routes for mountain biking. They have different level of difficulty; some of them are suitable even for children.
